Marvel's Inhumans Series will be their biggest series to date. Recent reports say that the series will debut on IMAX first before hitting the small screen. Inhumans will be part of ABC's fall 2017 lineup.

According to THR's report, Inhumans has been set for a straight-to-series order for ABC this fall. The show will have an eight-episode run. However, before it gets there, the first two episodes of the show will debut on over 1,000 IMAX theaters across 74 countries.

The Inhumans TV series debut on IMAX will get a two-week run starting on Labor Day weekend 2017. It is expected that the show will premiere on Friday, September 1st next year.

Labor Day is a slow time of year for new movie releases, which makes it perfect for a brand-new Marvel series to be released. Lesser competition for a big hit.

Aside from the first two episodes shooting with IMAX cameras, some scenes from the following episodes will be included as well, such as some cool shots on the moon.

IMAX is reportedly paying for the first two installments of the Inhumans series. ABC network will then take those episodes shot by IMAX and expand them with some more content for broadcast.

The Inhumans will be the first TV show to be financed by IMAX. It is also the first TV show to premiere in IMAX, which fans are excited about. It is not the first TV show to be screened by IMAX, however, as it had been the Game of Thrones last year.

Fans are very much excited to see who will play the characters on the show. However,  Inhumans is still in the early stages, it hasn't begun casting yet.

Marvel is also quick to announce that the Inhumans is not an Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D spinoff, despite the fact that the Inhumans were introduced first into the MCU on the show a couple of seasons ago.

Much to the surprise of the fans, the Inhumans series is also not a replacement for the movie aptly titled "Inhumans", that was pulled from the 2019 release calendar earlier this year. The series is expected to focus on the Inhumans royal family.
