It's official. The darlings of the 90s are back together for another round. On their website, GEM, the Spice Girls released a track, one which has been leaked on YouTube this year.

Ginger Spice, Baby Spice, and Scary Spice had posted a video on YouTube thanking their loyal fans for their support ever since debut in 1994 up to the present. It's been twenty years since the girl group debuted in the United Kingdom with the breezy and fast beats of "Wannabe", "Say You'll Be There" and "2 Become 1", hits that topped international music charts.

Spice Girls' Comeback Is Not Complete

The leaked song, "Song For Her", features an upbeat tune with the classic Spice Girls sweet voice and an excellent empowered chorus. Back in July 2016, Baby Spice (Emma Bunton) told Digital Spy that the song was not a comeback single, but now it's official that the girls are back in the music industry.

The hit 90s English girl group was originally composed of Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice). GEM now only has Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, and Melanie Brown, who, in a Digital Spy report, said that GEM is not the name of their new group, but the website on which they released their single. "We're always going to be Spice Girls. I think people are getting it a bit confused with GEM."

The other two former Spice Girls member, Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm, have declined participation in the comeback, saying that they have other engagments, but could there be a deeper reason like the bullying that Chisholm apparently suffered while still in the girl group?

Mel C Speaks Up About Bullying Experience

As to why only the three are making a comeback, Beckham is said to be too preoccupied with her career as a fashion entrepreneur, and Chisholm believed that 2012 was already the group's peak year. The singer, known as Sporty Spice in the group, also spoke up about her experience of being bullied while still part of Spice Girls. "It's been addressed, they were aware of what they've done," she said. "They apologized... When we were kids we were so hard on each other."

Despite the absence of Posh Spice and Sporty Spice, the all-time favorite girl group, Spice Girls, plans to bring the flavor back to the limelight as they work their way around the world, starting with London. NME reported that the girls promised their fans a fun party. "Song For Her" is the first track on their comeback list.
