With the successful debut at the box office and people talking about the Harry Potter spin-off, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" got people wanting to see the sequel as soon as possible. With the film dropping a lot of hints for the future story, people are expecting for answers and exploration.

Eddie Redmayne's character as Newt Scamander and his adventure in New York City unveiled a lot of hints about Johnny Depp, Zoe Kravitz, and Newt's new friends (played by Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol and Dan Fogler) as they will be seen in the sequel.

Warner Bros. and J.K. Rowling's Beasts has landed with a $75 million domestic debut, it's time to look ahead to the sequel, which is predicted to hit theaters in 2018. Rowling and David Yates will return to set up more magic in the eyes of the muggles wanting to be a wizard like the newly beloved protagonist.

What are the anticipated stories that would happen in the sequel? Here are five things fans would expect in the 2018 release.

First, fans would expect Newt's new adventures in a different city. The story is also set in Paris and Watford England. Yates said that the sequel would feel so different from the first one. He added that it would be more haunting like a dream, especially that Rowling will not "repeat herself."

Second, Gellert Grindelwald will be a major character after a major twist in the film. Newt revealed that Percival Graves (Colin Farrell) was actually Gellert Grindelwald (Depp) in disguise.

It is expected that Grindelwald's ties with Albus Dumbledore would be majorly discussed in the sequel. Dumbledore and Grindelwald were close friends when they were young, but Dumbledore suffering from a devastating family loss made them grew apart. Grindelwald then grew into a dark powerful wizard.

At the end of Fantastic Beasts, it is revealed that Percival Graves (Colin Farrell) was actually Gellert Grindelwald. The notorious wizard (played by Johnny Depp) will play a major character moving forward, and his ties to Albus Dumbledore will be a major part of the story.

Dumbledore and Grindelwald were friends when they were young, but fell apart after Dumbledore suffered a devastating family loss. Grindelwald then grew into one of the most powerful dark wizards ever known. Rowling said at a press conference that "there're lots to unpack in that relationship."

And speaking of Dumbledore, fans are now expecting that his story when he is still young would play a major role in the story. Rowling said in a conference that fans would see him as a quite a troubled man.

Dumbledore could be openly gay. There is still no actor to play the young Dumbledore.

Fourth, Newt's relationship with Leta Lestrange, played by Zoe Kravitz, would return. Lestrange and Scamander were close friends at Hogwarts before the latter was expelled and it caused for both of them to drift apart.

And if fans want to see more of Tina(Katherine Waterson), Queenie (Alison Sudol), and muggle Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), good news for them. Yates said that fans would see more of them in the next sequel despite Newt sailing out of New York City.
