Jimmie Johnson was all smiles after pulling it off from last place to first place during the Nascar Sprint Cup season finale held at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The said victory allowed him to claim his seventh series championship, therefore positioning him among the two biggest names in NASCAR history: Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.

It was such a sweet victory for Johnson who started the track being the slowest among the four drivers who were qualified to run for the Cup Title. Johnson's Chevrolet Lowe was chugging along during the start of the first lap and worse, the team was moved behind the pack because of an unapproved modification they did on their car. But all the misfortunate events paid off as he completed the track at first spot, therefore giving him his 7th championship.

From being the last to being the first, Johnson proved that if you are aiming for history then you got to add in as much drama as possible. When asked for reaction, he said, "I had this crazy calmness over myself all day long leading into this. Even with us running fifth and the championship not looking like it was going to be there, I just felt something."

On the other hand, some said that Johnson might have felt that something special is coming his way. The night before his championship, he even ran a symbolic 7 miles. Call it a twist of fate, Johnson's winning is very special as he was stuck in his six-time champ since the year 2013. His recent winning is the very first title he bagged at the Chase Championship 4 elimination format which started a couple of years ago. Johnson's winning knocked Edwards who the crowd thinks is in the best position to bag the title.
