After the downfall of their Galaxy Note 7, Samsung shift their focus on their Galaxy S7 which recently made headlines after several news said that it has been experiencing the same battery failure issue as its larger sibling. Samsung, however, assured the public that regardless whether they have the S7 Edge or the Galaxy S7, both units are safe.

Samsung released an official statement which reads "There have been no confirmed cases of internal battery failures with these devices among the more than 10 million devices being used by consumers in the United States; however, we have confirmed a number of instances caused by severe external damage. Until Samsung is able to obtain and examine any device, it is impossible to determine the true cause of any incident."

Some users found relief after Samsung had finally addressed the issue. Many agreed that the Galaxy S7 and the S7 are generally safe, although there are always some of those isolated cases. Phone experts also assured the public that cases like this are happening, even handphones like iPhones can catch fire.

Not so long ago, Samsung recalled their Galaxy Note 7, in what is known to be the biggest recall in mobile history. The company ultimately had to stop its production to prevent further battery failure complaints. But all these have nothing to do with the S7 series which had been in the market since March.

A recent incident reporting a Galaxy S7 bursting into flames was all over the news. This had caused the owner to suffer from a second and a third-degree burn. But again, the mobile phone company admits that this is just one of those isolated cases.

Because of all the bursting issues that the Galaxy Note 7 had faced, people cannot help but be doubtful about Samsung phones. Because of this, Samsung would like to get in front of things to erase doubts towards their Galaxy S7 and their S7 Edge.
