For those who are a fan of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona series, Atlus will be releasing the next installment of the series next year. Persona 5 is a role-playing game developed by Atlus and the sixth game in the Persona series. Recently, they've announced that they'll be delaying the release of the game from February 2017 to April 2017.

While the release date has been moved, they released a trailer showing off two new characters in the game: Yusuke Kitagawa and Makoto Niijima. Yusuke Kitagawa is an honor art student in the game that joined the Phantom Thieves. He was orphaned at a young age. Because of his artistic talents, he is currently a disciple to a famous Japanese painter. Makoto Niijima is a perfectionist and the younger sister of Sae Niijima. She is responsible but she's also someone who would not yield to reality. Their trailers show a little of their backstory and some of their gameplay, which includes the weapons they used and how they deliver an "All Out Attack" with the rest of the Phantom Thieves.

Persona 5 has been delayed to April 2017 but the company stated now that the game will support dual-audio. Both Japanese and English voice overs will be available to the game, in contrast to their earlier statement that they'll only port the English ones. The English cast would include:

  • Xander Mobus - Protagonist

  • Cassandra Morris - Morgana

  • Max Mittelman - Ryuji Sakamoto

  • Erika Harlacher - Ann Takamaki

  • Matthew Mercer - Yusuke Kitagawa

  • Cherami Leigh - Makoto Niijima

  • Erica Lindbeck - Futaba Sakura

  • Xanthe Hunyh - Haru Okumura

  • Robbie Daymond - Goro Akechi

Persona 5 tells the story of a group of high school students who all live dual lives as the rebellious Phantom Thieves. They are seeking freedom and liberation from the world. All of the Phantom Thieves wear masks in order to protect their identity and use the power of Personas to battle.

The game is scheduled for release in April 2017 for Playstation 4 and Playstation 3. Check out the trailers for Yusuke and Makoto below.
