‘Trial’ A Historical Drama Presented By Netflix, Japan’s NHK Partnership. Will The Unfolding Of World War II Accounts Be Fair In This ‘Trial’?

The four-part historical drama presented by a partnership between the major network in Japan NHK and Netflix. This will feature the stories of post-World War II and content of the hearing with the Japanese War Criminals.

The rest of the world knew the war ended when the United States with from the United Kingdom dropped the Atomic Bomb in the Cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Published on History Channel, this was the most tragic bombing but the necessary to end the horror suffered by millions of people worldwide.

Japanese forces, in response, surrendered and subjected themselves to the International Military Tribunals for the Far East headed by then General Douglas McArthur. There were 28 Japanese War Criminals but sentenced was given only to 25. One got insane and the two died during the lengthy trial.

In Variety, it said that the Tokyo "Trial" started on November 4, 1948, and lasted nine whole days. Seven of the war criminals were sentenced to death. Among the seven were General Hideki Tojo who was the country's Premier, the other was General Iwani Matsui who organized the Nanking Rape, and lastly Heitaro Kimura who abused and tortured war prisoners. The rest was given a life sentence, two of which got a lesser punishment.

China has contributed to the proceedings. Present was also Australian William Flood Webb presided while the Chief Prosecutor was the American Joseph B. Keenan. The same tribunal sentenced over 5000 soldiers in Japan and at least 900 men executed.

Emperor Hirohito, considered a War Criminal but due to his status that can unite Japan but protected by US authorities. The United States played a major role in rebuilding Japan and rest of Asia after the war.

This broadcasting is already arranged by the two major giants both Netflix and NHK. This is the much-awaited historical-drama to finally uncover the real events in history after World War II.
