“Gilmore Girls” is one of the simpler, calmer stories of the everyday normal life of the residence of a small town somewhere in Maine. It was its unique character that brought viewers before the screens and it is this same character, which has put fans in unending anticipation for the Netflix four series conclusion “Gilmore Girls : A Year in the Life”.

One of the biggest and most noticeable differences between the original run of the series and the reboot is the absence of Edward Herrmann. The Mary Sue reports that the actor who played Richard Gilmore, father to Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) passed away in the year of 2014, leaving a big empty spot in the cast of the series. Writers have managed to push through the problem, by adding his death as one of the plot lines in the forthcoming episodes.

It will discuss the pain of loss and the battle of Emily (Kelly Bishop) with the loss in her life. Her over the top character will always find some extreme in which to throw itself, when trying to cope with the loss and viewers will join her on this emotional rollecoaster.

For those who are not familiar with the “Gilmore Girls” lore, Bustle has shared an interesting article on the ending of the original series. Back in the days, when lead writer and creator of the series Amy Sherman-Palladino left the cast, she hoped that she will hear the four words that had crawled through her mind since the series’ inception, but sadly, it did not happen. The new writing team and the producers gave a completely different message, which made zero sense.

This brings viewers nowadays, when Amy Sherman-Palladino has promised that in the end of “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” fans will finally get to hear those four words.

Marie Claire shares that they are as excited with the series’ nearing end, as every other fan. They also confirm that the four final words will be heard and will be exactly what the creator of the series had in mind, back in the old days of the series’ original run.

“Gilmore Girls" Season 9: A Year in the Life will air on 25 November on Netflix.
