Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel acknowledged the fact that his actions are not always the best. The 22-year-old stated that he does not want to look "like a jackass" and will learn how to improve his behavior.

"I'm either going to learn or I'm going to be finding something else to do," Manziel stated according to USA Today Sports. "It's about actions, it's about being accountable and doing what I'm going to say instead of looking like a jackass."

Manziel was fined an undisclosed amount by the Browns for missing his medical treatment appointment on Saturday. Reports stated that Manziel had thrown a party the night before. However, Manziel explained that he had a few friends over and overslept. The rookie was allegedly "irate" about the reports of a party.

"There's nothing I can sit here and tell you (that will make this go away)," he said according to CBSSports.com. "I can't sit here and talk to these mics or these cameras or anything that's going to do any good. It's about actions, it's about being accountable and doing what I'm going to say instead of looking like a jackass."

Jason La Canfora, NFL Insider, reported that the Browns sent security personnel to locate Manziel after he missed his treatment. The Browns also suspended Josh Gordon for missing a walk-through on Saturday. Sources reported that Gordon will file a grievance with the Browns.

Manziel spent the last game of the season sitting in the locker room instead of on the sidelines, supporting his teammates. He has apologized to his teammates for not taking his job seriously enough and plans on changing that.

He stated, according to ESPN Cleveland, "There's not a bit of doubt in my mind that I'm serious about everything I'm talking about. But at the same time, you can talk and say this all you want, but when your actions don't reflect that, and you make a conscious decision to put yourself in the position that you stay out too late and not wake up the next morning, it's going to cause a lot of trouble. I brought this on myself. I brought these cameras. I don't think it's fair to myself, not fair to anybody in this locker room, the distractions that I brought at a point in time. I'm sorry to these guys who are veterans in this locker room and know what it takes. I'm having to learn the hard way."

Manziel started two games this season for Brian Hoyer. He finished with a quarterback rating of 42.0. Manziel suffered a hamstring injury during week 16.
