'Yuri!!! On Ice' Episode 6 concludes with Yuri topping his personal best and garnering 106.84 points, making him first place in the short program. The theme of his short program is 'Love' which he intend to dedicate to Viktor.
The event took place in China for the Grand Prix Series Opening Event. With all the contestants gunning for that first place, the pressure is heightened. Among all the contestants, Yuri outshined and delivered a perfect performance which Viktor could be more proud of with Yuri.

The second round of the event will take place on Episode 7. Recent speculations state that due to the increasing pressure of topping and ranking first place, Yuri will fall into the pressure thus resulting Christopher topping the competition. Recently, the previews for the 'Yuri!!! On Ice' Episode 7, Yuri was not feeling confident at all. While, Yuri's competitor are motivated to top and perform their best routine; Yuri falls into the pressure. It was predicted that Chris would be his number one competitor who is currently in third place. To recall, Yuri's mother states that he is not used in being rank one. So, will this be the reason why Yuri lost first place? Or Chris will play physic with Yuri and divulge his mind to the fact that his keeping Viktor's greatness?
