Microsoft is replacing the exclusive invite-only Xbox Insider Program to Xbox Preview Program so players can openly test the new features of the upcoming Xbox One gaming console.

Players who want to take a peek at Microsoft's newest console can now access Xbox Preview Program. Before, the Xbox Insider Program was only available to users receiving invites. But, the new Xbox Preview Program brings Microsoft's updated software to all players with Xbox.

Unlike Sony's PS4 which still require players to sign up and hopefully receive an invitation for its beta version of new updates, the Xbox Preview Program has also updated the user interface's overall appearance. The new UI features an Insider profile card which showcases player's milestones, and Xbox with multiple players may also share feedback individually. Microsoft will also be adding a dedicated forum for players where they can air out any bugs or fault in upcoming gaming consoles. This is Microsoft's efforts in further reaching out to player's with its new feedback system which will enable the company to enhance where it lacks and to refine features that require fine-tuning.

The Xbox Preview Program has an updated Preview Dashboard. The new user interface that is based on the Xbox One UI allows players to find information within the software. The new user interface is also customizable, showing more relevant news and players may get the chance to gain early access to any updates.

Since the new Xbox One has more social features than the former, there are new tools that enable players to find other users to play with, and the update creates groups with the same interests.

It is important to note, however, that despite the free-for-all access to the feature, the Xbox Preview Program system update is still restricted to the participants' qualifications such as the player's region and the tenure specified in the program.
