Cumberbatch hosted in this opportunity the last episode of SNL before election's day at November, 8. This brought a lot of controversy as the fans review, not because of the actor but the quality of the sketches they mentioned.

The actor is usually known by playing intellectual characters on movies . Like a host of SNL it was a perfect moment for him to show a comedy side as a funny actor, but the fact is the audience didn't respond well, specially for one particular sketch.

The sketch is described like "truly bizarre" viewing experience. The actor with a blond wig, cut-off jeans and no sleeves white shirt impersonating a constructor worker   with a rare American accent. The segment Co-starred with Aidy Bryant and an apparently a dead lady who supposed to be his grandmother. Cumberbatch appears like an uncover male stripper ready to perform to Bryan's grandmother, promising a; "delivery of some heavy wood" while eating a cherry from the lady's mouth.

For this short segment the show received several responses on social media, critics about the bad quality of the script, even mentioned by a fan the skit just was "creeping me out" and a big "No no" for Cumberbatch fans. One of the four scenes the actor's appears.

Even the audience had the look on Trump and Hillary final sketch together before this Tuesday elections. Cumberbatch was targeted despite how he showed excited and very into his roles and in four more sketches.

Later on with; Why Is Benedict Cumberbatch Hot? , Best Toilet Humor "one of the strangest sketches of the night", Weakest Sketch: Gemma and Ricky a weird Criss Angel wannabe and Weekend Update "not very special part of SNL, but no, because of the actor.

The initial SNL monologue/ musical wasn't consider as good like the others but is true that the Oscar-nominated actor gave an energetic and enthusiast performance given on this opportunity by SNL.
