Microsoft is getting ready for a major Windows 10 update, but this time it wants to revolutionize the process, which it uses Unified Update Platform (UUP). Henceforth, the firm is expected to use UUP platform for all the updates that it makes the process simpler and easier. It is a good news for even users considering the amount data and hassle-free Windows update procedure without any technical glitches.

Microsoft wants to ensure that it uses next generation delivery technology in the upcoming Windows 10 update. The UUP is a technology that is developed by the firm which reduces the download size of the Windows update. The platform is working in such a way that it downloads only the required portion of the Windows update that needs change. For example, if the UUP platform identifies that a user's PC only need a change in clock settings, it would download only that portion and update the PC.

The UUP procedure ensures a smooth experience and fast downloading of Windows updates. It should be understood in such a manner that many users usually complains about the errors they receive while downloading the update pack and Microsoft wants to remove such experiences. Massive update downloads are creating issues like excess data usage, battery drainage in laptops, work being interrupted etc. Microsoft confirms that UUP would reduce the download size of Windows updates by 35 percent.

The UUP would reduce the amount of data that should be sent to client devices and also it reducing the processing rate of such requests. This would make the Mobile OS increasingly effective, per reports. The mechanism is simple as when the device check for the required Windows updates, the UUP platform cross check and pull the required part towards the particular device. This ensures the service optimization on Windows updates.

Microsoft has confirmed that the UUP system for Windows updates will not only for PCs but for the tablet, Hololens, IoT, and phone. Especially considering the complex devices that are available in the market today and the increasing risks of cyber-attacks, the attempt by Microsoft to optimize the Windows update system would make the Windows platform secure and simpler.
