Many people tuned into last night's preseason game to see Johnny Manziel. Unfortunately for him, his touchdown pass in the fourth quarter may not be the image fans left the game with.

Following an incomplete pass in the third quarter, Manziel turned to the Washington Redskins bench and showed them his middle finger.

"I felt like I did a good job of holding my composure throughout the night, and you have a lapse of judgment and slip up," Manziel said according to ESPN. He said had "exchanged words" with the Redskins bench and should have been wiser.

This has been and is going to be a major talking point for sports shows around the country. One of the knocks against Manziel has been his supposed immaturity off the field. This most recent incident may something doubters can use to point to immaturity on the field.

Nevertheless, Manziel knows he has to be better next time.

"I should have been smarter," Manziel said. "The cameras were solidly on me. I need to be smarter about that."

Redskins star linebacker Brian Orakpo spoke about Manziel's actions and also admitted his team was trying to get into Manziel's head all night.

"It was hilarious," Orakpo said per ESPN's John Keim. "We were messing with him a little bit, just saying this ain't college and stuff like that. We were having a little fun.

"Manziel flipped us off. It was something funny. We were all laughing on the sidelines."

Browns coach Mike Pettine wasn't expectedly not happy about the gesture.

"It does not sit well,'' said Pettine, according to Cleveland.com. "I was informed of it after the game. It's disappointing, because what we talk about is being poised and being focused, that you have to be able to maintain your poise.

"That's a big part of all football players, especially the quarterback. We have to keep our composure. That's something we'll obviously address.''

However, Pettine also said Manziel's unpleasant action won't factor into the QB competition.

"It's whoever gives us the best chance to win the opener will be the starter,'' he explained. Manziel could face a fine from the NFL of $11,025 for unsportsmanlike conduct. He will be allowed to appeal his first fine and it may drop to 25 percent of an approximately $6,200 weekly check.

Manziel finished the game 7-for-16, passing for 65 yards and one touchdown.

The Browns lost to the Redskins 24-23.
