Ukrainian company "Limpid Armor" recently developed a "Microsoft HoloLens" enabled helmet called Circular Review System for military use. The mixed reality technology that was made public by Microsoft last month, which allows wearers to experience and interact with holograms in a particular setting will be used as a military equipment soon.

The "Limpid Armor Circular Review System" (CRS) is a military helmet equipped with "Microsoft HoloLens". The system has cameras outside the tank which provide the tank commanders full view with both thermal and optical systems that can effectively cover them in the battlefield. With the help of the Circular Review System, tank commanders can directly distinguish between friends and foe, targets, as well as provide other information that is essential in the combat.

As described by Engadget, the" Limpid Armor Circular Review System" is basically a helmet with "Microsoft HoloLens" headset that sits in front of the frame. The Ukrainian company debuted the Circular Review System mid-October at a show in Kiev. While Limpid Armor Circular Review System has not tested the system outside the lab, in light of the heightened tensions around Russia’s unlawful annexation of Crimea, Ukranian military is already eyeing the technology and wants the field tests to be carried out sooner than later.

The specs of "Limpid Armor Circular Review System" featured in the Futurism report includes high-speed streaming video without delay, 360-degree viewpoint within 300 meters with optical and thermal imaging modes, identifying enemy positions as well as highlighting allies, look-lock system, automatic target tracking, as well as the capability to target destination and video from UAV systems along with other sources.

With the recent "Limpid Armor Circular Review System" innovation, military personnel will be able to see the terrain outside of the four corners of the tank. Using the "Microsoft HoloLens", tank commanders will be able to check the surroundings without being ever exposed to enemies in the battlefield.
