Google has enabled users to cast spells in Android smartphones. Since the last "Harry Potter" film Deathly Hallows Part 2 in 2011, Harry Potter fans have long been waiting for an update - any update that will re-connect them to the magical world. After the news broke out that another film adaptation was to be released, fans were simply ecstatic.

JK Rowling’s “Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them” is debuting this November. To celebrate the reunion of muggles into the world of magic, Google added a new feature in Android smartphones that Harry Potter fans will definitely enjoy.

Google wants magician-wannabes to experience casting an actual “spell” in an Android device. So if you want to try your hand in magic, activate Google by saying, “Ok Google.” Then, say the commands “Lumos” to turn the flashlight on, and “Nox” to turn it off. You can also try saying “Silencio” which silences the ringer and notifications.

The world of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” can also be visited by Android users using the Google Street View. The film is set in New York City in the year 1926 which can be viewed in the Google Maps as well. Fans would be able to visit the Magical Congress of the USA (MACUSA), the Steen National Bank, the speakeasy The Blind Pig, and the apartments of Queenie Goldstein and Tina Goldstein, two main characters of the film.

Users can also play inside the world of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” using the Daydream View VR. With a wave of a wand, wearers will be brought to the magical trove of Newt’s case where they can solve puzzles, cast more spells, and find beasts. The feature will be available when the Daydream View VR goes on sale this November. For more details about these fun features, you may visit Google’s blog here.

The experience of casting spells is invigorating especially for Harry Potter fans who miss the magical world. The movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” makes a good excuse to wander into the world of magic again.
