Diversification is a must for any business and Intel is also found to be at that track. The firm has developed a new reality concept and presented to the world this year. It is interesting to know what is its "Merged Reality" and its developments till date. Since the major tech companies are fighting for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and Mixed Reality, the coming years will be transformed around visualization concepts, devices, and features.

The concept Merged Reality is easy to express and it is in Intel terms it helps people to view the real world in a virtually created environment. This can be defined as almost opposite what Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality offer. Users can view the parts of the real world through Merged Reality device, it can be parts of an object, body parts of a man etc. and the surroundings will be a virtual world.

To experience Merged Reality, Intel has developed a device called Project Alloy, a wireless Merged Reality headset. Imagine that a virtual reality headset has got advancement and it recognizes unique things, people around, then it defines the functions of Project Alloy. It should be remembered that the new concept Merged Reality is in grooming stage and Intel is dedicating its time for the development of the new visual reality, especially at Intel's lab in Santa Clara.

The device is featuring Intel's RealSense cameras in it along with a Skylake Chipset used for application processing. Though the device is yet to arrive in the market, the exclusive demo of the device shown that it has a lot more development required to bring out the possibilities of Merged Reality, what Intel intends. It is reported that Intel has acquired VR startup "Voke" and this is expected to strengthen the firm's research in Merged Reality.

The new visual realities that are being introduced in the market by companies becomes a trend now. An example for this could be Mixed Reality by Microsoft. It is important to note that there should have a real purpose or use of these applications, otherwise it may not get a mass appeal. These technologies including Merged Reality should be focused to produce significant use in industries and day-to-day life.
