"Tango smartphone AR system" has been released after years of research. The introduction of the system is expected to create a lot of opportunities in gaming, indoor navigation, 3D mapping, environmental recognition etc. The first smartphone with Tango Smartphone AR system also released and it is Lenovo Phab 2 Pro.

The phone with Tango smartphone AR is available for $499 and there are more phones with the system are expected to release by next year. It important to note that the Tango smartphone AR is an environment and it also needs the applications that are compatible to work in the environment. Reports say that there are 35 applications are being launched with Tango support.

Tango chief Johnny Lee thinks that AR can be an integral part of smartphones in future, per reports. "It is quite similar to GPS, where it became an integral part of the utility mobile phones and years later, it helped the transporting industry including Uber," he said. "If AR could transform itself in letting the devices understand physical space and communicate to the world, it can transform the industries, from gaming to retail and real estate.

The gamers can expect more intensified gaming experience with Tango smartphone AR while non-gaming apps like iStaging can help people to position their table or lamp in the house better as they can position in the phone and see it is convenient or not and then proceed the move. Another app named Matterport's Scenes app in Tango Smartphone AR helps users to find the space in 3D, which could be useful in packing things in vehicles or rooms.

It is important to note that Google is not thinking that Tango Smartphone AR should be separately worked and the firm decided to work it along with VR platform Daydream. It could be due to the outcomes of both the platforms are interlinked and could help each other. Interestingly, Google Daydream VR headset also announced for release and would be available from Nov. 10.
