Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and her wife of eight years Portia de Rossi are reportedly having marital problems and are headed for divorce. This shocking news is revealed by a magazine interview wherein "The Ellen Show" host discussed the impact of her growing success on their relationship.

According to InTouch Weekly, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia DeRossi are contemplating a separation due to disagreements on different aspects of their relationship. A very reliable source told the publication that their public appearances together were just all for show. The talk show host is "desperately happy," the source confirmed.

The magazine noted that Portia de Rossi had enough of Ellen DeGeneres' controlling behavior. This had been confirmed by a Sportsrageous report. The couple had been married since 2008 and is reportedly divided on whether or not they should have children.

The InTouch Weekly report noted the transformation of Ellen DeGeneres into an angry and difficult person due to wealth and power. It also highlighted DeGeneres' concern over her ever-growing empire. It described her as a tyrant who angry with everyone - - including Portia.

The angst and stress incurred by Ellen have affected her relationship with de Rossi. The former "Ally McBeal" star is planning to end eight years of marriage and is reportedly tired of the way DeGeneres treats her.

DeGeneres refutes the divorce noises and assures her fans that her marriage is not on the rocks. British newspaper "Daily Mail"   reported on the couple's recent appearance, holding hands after shopping at Vivenne Westwood in West Hollywood in California.

Last week, Ellen de Generes told "People" magazine why being married with Portia deRossi is important to her. DeGeneres considers de Rossi as her best friend and the only person she wants to spend more time with.
