The "Kingdom Hearts" franchise has announced a re-release of its games under a new title "Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX". It will be a collection of 6 games in remastered versions for PlayStation 4. The game will be released on March 28, 2017, in North America and the gameplay would be set at 60 frames per second.

In reality, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX is a collection of two remixes "Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 Remix" and "Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 Remix", the former was released in 2013 and the later was in 2014. Both of them were having 3 games each and were either updated or remakes of originals, reports Crunchyroll.

The developer of the Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Square Enix is also planning to release another game bundle named "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" on Jan. 24 in North America. It includes "Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD", "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage" and "Kingdom Hearts X: Back Cover", cited by Anime News Network.

The trailer of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX also released while announcing the game bundle. The trailer is less than 2 minutes and it features the graphically enhanced moments from all the six games. The gamers would be happy with the remastered versions that they can play all the games in the series in PS4, reported by Polygon.

It is also important to note that the action role-playing game series completing 15 years of its journey by March 28 and hence the developers planned to mark it with the release of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. The game series was critically and commercially successful with 25 million copies worldwide as on 2013.

The developers of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX should focus on creativity while doing the remastering. It should be noted in the wake of "World of Final Fantasy" remaster version that an improvement in graphics alone won't win the hearts of fans. Also, developers can add advanced features and an extension to plot to make Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX more engaging.
