After a great first game, the Spurs and the Kings go face to face at the Golden 1 Arena in Sacramento on Thursday. Both teams are coming off a great season opener after each had their first games days prior.

The Spurs are looking to spoil another home opener, after spoiling the Golden State Warriors', handing the team with their first loss of the season with 129-100. The Spurs look to hand another devastating loss to the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings came off a 113-94 win over the Phoenix Suns. This is their first game at home for the season. The Kings lost three times to the Spurs last season, but they are a much different team now.

Spurs' forward Kawhi Leonard continued his mean streak scoring 30 points, adding five assists, and five more steals. Fans and analysts alike are picking Leonard as an early MVP favorite with his performance for the past two games.

San Antonio closed the third quarter with a 14-3 run, leading the Kings at 76-71. Jonathan Simmons had 15 points and hit 6 of 6 shots in the first two-quarters. Simmons made a statement by ending his first-half performance with a 3-point buzzer beater.

The Silver and Black bench had once again proved that they are not there to just sit the game out, providing a boost after the Kings led 14-6. Dewayne Dedmon had 12 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks.

The Kings did give it their best shot, did not crumble under the weight of self-imposed mistakes. Center DeMarcus Cousins came so close to willing the team to victory with 37 points and 16 rebounds.

In the end, the Kings was handed their first home loss of the season. The San Antonio Spurs escaped the Golden 1 Center with a 102-94 victory, another win for the books.
