The New York Knicks have lost yet another game, dropping their record to 5-26. The 102-91 loss against the Washington Wizards on Christmas day is the 16th loss for the Knicks out of the past 17 games that they played.

"I feel what the fans are feeling," Carmelo Anthony said according to ESPN's Ian Begley. "The fans are dying, we're dying. We're out there, we're not producing. We didn't expect, I didn't expect to be sitting at 5-26. So as much as I feel for the fans, I feel for us going through it, too. I don't expect nobody to feel sorry for us, I don't expect nobody to feel sorry for me."

So far this season, the Knicks have had two separate losing streaks. One lasted six games and the other one lasted 10 games. According to Anthony, the team lacks the consistency they need in order to win.

"We have spurts throughout the course of the game where we are showing something, showing that we're getting it and we're focused and we have the energy to go out and do it," Anthony said. "But there are times where we show that we're not even out there on the basketball court. ... We gotta start trying to put a whole game together."

He added, "There are times throughout the course of the game where it seems like we're making strides and getting better. And then there are times where it feels like we're not."

The Knicks trailed throughout the game and never really challenged the Wizards. At one point, they were behind by 22 points. In the last quarter with 5:31 left to play, Knicks Quincy Acy was ejected for a flagrant-2 foul. Acy had pushed Wizards point guard John Wall to the floor on a play.

Despite the losses, Phil Jackson is hopeful that 2015 will be much better. He tweeted:

The Knicks currently have the most losses in the league.
