Navdy Heads Up Display is a third-party nifty car device makes any car smart, if you are willing to spend $800 for it.

Most car owners do not spend a lot on automotive smart equipment. Even with the numerous options available for Heads Up Display, Navdy is the most recent addition to make almost any car smarter. "As a refresher, the portable $800 device does more than display your current speed. Via a companion app for iOS and Android, it also has turn-by-turn navigation, music controls and notifications for messages and calls," says in a report by EnGadget. It is a transparent version of the user's smartphone in the dash. With its colored Navdy HUD display, it easily flips up and adjusts the viewing angle.

The idea of Navdy HUD is basically adding the stuff in your smartphone screen into the dashboard's information system, it should not be distracting. In fact, it provides GPS routes, reads text messages, accepts calls with a swipe of a hand - all below the standard line of site while driving. "When it all lines up just right, it sort of looks like your GPS maps (or your texts, album art, etc.) are floating on the road in front of you," according to Tech Crunch.

CNet thinks the interface is spectacular, "Navdy's interface does a spectacular job of switching between screens, for example splitting the display between navigation and an incoming call alert."

Navdy wants to give the power to be productive to drivers. The device aims at being in full control using the fingertips. The device allows you to play songs, zoom in and out of maps, make selections, go through lists while being control of your driving. Drivers can also use it day or night with its full-color projection. In fact, it is 40 times brighter than the average smartphone display. It allows the dash to show directions and notifications.
The future is AI is within our reach. From Apple's Siri to Amazon's Alexa, what will the AI in Navdy be named after?
