American singer-composer Taylor Swift marks a 10-year stay in the music industry on Monday, a captioned photo on her Instagram account does the reminder. Swift, 26, is hated and loved by the media and public not just for her highest-grossing tracks, but also, for being a notorious for the lyrics of her songs that narrate her personal life.

On Instagram, her latest photo, which earned more than 1.6 million likes after 10 hours, says "10 years ago today, my first album came out," referring to her debut album which was also eponymous. Her lead single at that time, "Tim McGraw," was included among the top 10 Hot Country Songs on Billboards. It was followed by "Teardrops On My Guitar" single and became the best-charting song of the album on Billboard Hot 100.

"I couldn't be more grateful today, thinking back on how much fun we've had and how you've encouraged me to change and grow," Swift continued on her caption on Instagram.

USA Today published an article, calling Taylor Swift as "the pop star of a generation," to describe how the Country and Pop artist evolved-"from twangy country to stadium-ready pop, over the course of four subsequent albums."

"It's been such an adventure, guys. Thank you for all of it," reads the concluding line on Swift's caption. On Sunday, the singer-composer was given an award as the "Most Entertaining Celebrity" at BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards held at SSE Arena, Wembley, London. Although she missed the event, Swift recorded a video of her appreciation for the award, which was posted on

Her 2008 "Fearless" album debuted with a Billboard 200 success and was dubbed as the U.S.' top selling-album the following year. Five tracks from the album also reached the Billboard Hot 100 with "You Belong With Me" single being its highest-charting track.
