Dogs are a man’s best friend. They offer protection of the home, company in the loneliest day and even assistance in the life of visually impaired people.

So, if marijuana is bad for the health, why would some people administer it to their four legged friends?
Seeker shares the story of Leo, he is a 14 year old Shih Tzu, which after a terrible attack from another dog started suffering frequent seizures.

Leo’s owner Gary Richter is a certified veterinarian. After the incident, he started administering traditional anti-seizure medicine to his pet, but the effect was not that visible. Afterwards he started treating his dog with high cannadibiol oil. After that, improvement was visible, where the seizures became less frequent.
They would affect the dog only a few times a month, opposed to a few times a week on traditional medicine.

The stories go on. The Bark shares many others about miraculous improvements in the health of pets after administering cannadibiold oil. A bulldog which spent two years of his life either throwing up or sleeping now jumps around like a puppy. Another dog’s skin cancer has started diminishing and even liver sickness has been improved by the administering of the untypical medicine.

Health shares how exactly the medicine is administered. You do not need roll a blunt, smoke and pass with your pet. There are oil extracts which can be added to the pet’s food, which would do the job perfect. Other way is supplying edible treats and capsules, which are accurately dosed for the needs of your pet. Even though deemed “mostly harmless” this newly discovered medicine should be properly dosed, because higher quantities of it may lead to some serious damage instead of help.

Dosage should be accurately prepared, but it is hard for veterinarians to propose this alternative form of medication, as it is still deemed illegal for prescription by veterinarians. Still, many professionals have started seeing the upside to this alternative form of medication, and people may soon see the start of a doggy marijuana revolution.
