Pete Burns is dead, confirmed by his manager. The frontman or the singer of the Dead or Alive band died at the age of 57.

He rose to fame in 1980s with the hit song You Spin Me Around and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother 4 in 2006. In 2010, his last single, Nevery Marry an Icon, was released.

Pete Burns often wore women's clothes and once said in the Guardians that he was brought up with freedom and creativity and that he is not trying to be a girl. According to the Guardian, he became famous for his progressive approach to gender and androgynous style.

It was indeed a devastating news when Burns died suddenly last Sunday. Everyone is feeling sad by the lost of Pete Burns.

According to BBC the cause of the death was a cardiac arrest. As soon as the news broke out from a statement on twitter by Pete's Manager Steve Coy, lots of tweets from his friends and fans came rushing in.

Boy George, a singer and a close friend to Burns tweeted about how big Pete Burns is in his life. While Celebrity Big Brother presenter, Davina McCall, tweeted about how they party real hard.

Politician George Galloway and Ordinary Boys frontman, Preston, also talks about how sad they are with Pete Burns' death. While Soft Cell musician Marc Almond tweeted about how great Burns is.

He may have admitted, according to the Guardian, about his addiction to cosmetic surgery that may have been over 300 operations in his lifetime but despite the changes in his appearance he remains who he really is and lots of people still loves him. According to Mirror, Burns was scheduled to appear on ITV's Loose Women but it was withdrawn because of ill health.

Sadly Pete Burns' last tweet on October 13 was "Counting down the days....."
