"The Originals" Season 4 is set to come back and will reveal the fate of the Mikaelsons. The show is set to return five years after the previous season.

According to Movie News Guide, "The Originals" Season 4 is set to return with somebody trying to save Klaus (Joseph Morgan) from the curse. It is speculated that Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) is going to come over to New Orleans and be the one to release Klaus from the Tunde Blade.

It is a possibility for Caroline to save Klaus since she has been the only one who Klaus went to in times of need. If Caroline goes to New Orleans, it seems that a crossover from 'The Vampire Diaries' will happen in "The Originals" Season 4.

Meanwhile, Klaus manages to free himself from the curse without the help of anybody. This remains a mystery and how he does this will be revealed in the upcoming "The Originals" Season 4. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is also set to saving Klaus and the way to do it is to find the seven werewolf pack.

In a report from the Morning Ledger, "The Originals" Season 4 is also set to restore the Mikaelson family. The family has returned to New Orleans in order to take their rightful place in the vampire world. In the upcoming season family ties will be explored and there may be betrayals that can happen.

"The Originals" Season 4 also has a five-year time jump. This means that Hope (Summer Fontana) is grown up and is ready to save her father. The years that passed also had changes for the individuals in the show.

A new villain is also going to come to New Orleans and seek revenge towards the Mikaelsons, according to News Everyday. Aside from Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), Klaus is going to face-off this sadistic vampire that brings threat to his family.

There is no specific date for the return of the series. However, fans can expect "The Originals" Season 4 to come back on January 2017.
