Supernatural Season 12 will have its premiere episode this week. The upcoming season will reportedly focus on the "family business".
Castiel Is Angry
In Supernatural season 11, Castiel (Misha Collins) made himself a vessel of Lucifer. He has regretted it ever since. Misha Collins told in a video interview that fans should expect an angry Castiel. The Angel is determined to hunt down Lucifer (Guest star - Rick Springfield). Castiel is even willing to join forces again with King of Hell Crowley (Mark Sheppard) to get rid of Lucifer once and for all. The Supernatural promo video for the upcoming season 12 showed Castiel emerging from a big crater.
Mary Winchester Rejoins the Family Business
Supernatural showrunner Bob Singer admit that season 11 is a tough act to follow especially if you have God in top billing, according to Variety. This is why the storytellers are focusing on the "old fashioned horror stories" for the upcoming season.
Rejoining the brothers in the supernatural hunting business is Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith), their mother. In the last episode of Season 11, Mary's return to Earth was made possible courtesy of Amara (Emily Swallow). It was a show of thanks and goodwill to Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles). The expected family reunion however, will have to wait.
Sam Winchester Missing
Sam (Jared Padalecki) was shot and taken by the British branch of the "Men of Letters" at the last moments of Supernatural season 11. Dean, Mary and Castiel wasted little time and are in hot pursuit to rescue Sam. It is probably safe to assume that the premier episode will have a happy ending. Fans will be eagerly awaiting each episode to see how the family business is doing now that the original hunter is back.
Supernatural Season 20 Episode 1 Release Date
Supernatural Season 12 will air its premiere episode on October 13, 2016 in the CW Channel.
