Kim Kardashian hit the headlines around the world on Sunday when she was attacked at gunpoint inside her residence in Paris along with hubby Kanye West by five armed masked men dressed as cops. Even though the KUWTK superstar was not physically harmed, the criminals made their way with jewelery worth more than $10 million.

Ever since the horrifying incident, the emotionally damaged actress has been understandably beefing up her security to ensure that no such incidents ever occur in the future. There is no penny spared when it comes to safeguarding strong personalities, but the extra bodyguards now can cost the West family a huge sum.

A bodyguard can charge anywhere between $75 to $120 per hour, according to reliable sources. Aaron Jackson at Finest Execution Protection says that cost per hour depends on the client and the complexity of the assignment besides the potential level of threat. And, since Kim is a word famous celebrity, firms may charge even more for her protection considering the threat that she may be exposed to, especially in light of the incident. Furthermore, the threat level seems to be high for Kim, so now a security guard can charge around $150 an hour, adds Jackson.

On Monday, after Kardashian got reunited with her hubby in New York, approximately 30 bodyguards were assigned to take care of the couple. If paid at a premium price, the total cost would touch the $100,000 mark every single day.

Nobody expected this to occur was a genuine statement made by an insider as quoted by E! News. The French Interior Ministry confirmed that the star's rings worth $44.9 million  and a jewelery box estimated at $5.6 million were stolen.

Now even if the security expenses on protecting the West family shoots up, they are sure to pay any cost to ensure the well-being and safety of their family.
