The critically-acclaimed series which shows how a working-class family deals with their struggles at work and at home will finally make a comeback on television in just a few days. Reports say that a very notable character is also set to re-appear in "The Middle" Season 8.

TV Series Finale reports that Brooke Shields (who played as Rita Glossner) will make a return in the "The Middle" on its eighth installment. During the show's season 8 duration, Rita will be seen alongside Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton) as they both venture and go on a trip together while they try their best to put aside their personal bouts.

Aside from Heaton, the series' regular stars are Eden Sher, Charlie McDermott, Neil Flynn and Atticus Shaffer. In "The Middle" Season 8, fans will see the other side of Frankie again, as she is often provoked by her nemesis, Rita. The news about Rita's comeback was first released by EW.

For fans to recall, Rita is the total opposite of Frankie. At face value, Rita spew a dark character while Frankie is all white. Rita dons tattoos in her body; she is also seen smoking cigarette almost everywhere. Meanwhile, Frankie is always known as the "chill" mom of three unique kids. Followers of the show will see how the two will, again, handle their differences in "The Middle" Season 8.

Shields first appeared as Rita on "The Middle" in 2010. Her character, being a great nuisance to Frankie's calm statuesque, has recurred four times in different seasons of the show. Her return in "The Middle" Season 8 will mark her fifth appearance on the show. The Eighth installment of "The Middle" will debut on the second week this month, particularly in October 11. From there, its timeslot is set at 8 PM E.T. on ABC.
