Producers of "The Blacklist" created a new, ground-breaking action-adventure series that has shaken viewers' world Monday. "Timeless" features stars Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett and Abigail Spencer as they portray a scientist, a soldier and a history professor who travelled through time to chase a man who has caused the destruction of America.

Since its release on NBC yesterday, several news agencies have already released reviews on the debut episode. For one, New York Times described the chase in "Timeless" Season Premiere in two words: High Stakes. The report notes how good the series brought a lot of things only a few people know about the history of America and how well the writers and creators have incorporated the ancient details in the story's plot.

TV Guide has first released a warm up about the show and said that "Timeless" won't be like most science-fictions where viewers are required to overthink to get all the angles of the story. The show is created by Eric Kripke of the Adventure series "Supernatural" and Shawn Ryan of the crime series "The Shield".

Kripke and Ryan will allow viewers to travel back to significant and pivotal periods in the past to dig up important facts that will be instrumental in tracking down the criminal. The first episode took viewers to a look at the situation back to the Hindenburg disaster. The report says that future episodes will delve into the situations which took place in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln in 1962, Watergate and the Alamo, among others.

Parade quotes actor Barrett when he said in a panel interview that everyone who will be able to view the series will identify with the characters, especially during times when they encounter extreme circumstances they experience for the first time. "Timeless" airs on NBC every Monday at 10/9c.
