Prepare to dust off those swords, as Disney finally unveiled the debut teaser trailer for the upcoming fifth entry in the "Pirates of The Carribean" series, "Dead Men Tell No Tales."

First revealed during the season finale of "Fear The Walking Dead," this teaser trailer highlights a creepy, grim, and dark mood, in stark contrast to the typical light and comical fanfare of the franchise. The clip shows a new villain (portrayed by Javier Bardem), as he takes on a murderous spree in a bid to hunt down the legendary Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) and grab the Trident of Poseidon for himself. Furthermore, the clip hints down at a new protagonist, which is rumored to be the child of former series co-protagonist, Will Turner (played by Orlando Bloom).

In recollection, talks for a fifth "Pirates of The Carribean" film surfaced back in 2011. It was confirmed that Terry Rosio will be penning the script, while the Norwegian director duo Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandperg were tapped to helm the movie, with the cast being told to "set aside time for the near future," as Disney intends to film the fifth and sixth entries in the franchise back to back. In addition, series regulars Depp, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, and Kevin Mcnally will be reprising their roles, alongside newcomers Bardem, Kaya Scodelario, and Brenton Thwaites.

"Pirates of The Carribean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" is set for a May 26, 2017 release.
