"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 comes back with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) being possessed by evil. Stefan (Paul Wesley) is worried for his brother now that Elena (Nina Dobrev) is in the show.

In a report from International Business Times, Executive Producer Julie Plec hints about the concern of Stefan towards Damon based on Elena's reaction in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Damon is in a spell that he has no control of and cannot free himself from it.

Stefan is going to make it a point to rescue Damon from this spell in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. He knows that Damon has to live because of something. However this possession has led to Damon shutting off his emotions.

It can be recalled in the finale episode of Season 7 that Damon was taken by an evil creature in the vault. The creature wants something that has not been revealed yet. The mission in "The Vampire Diaries" for Damon and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will include killing more.

In this case, Stefan may not easily save his brother from evil. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 may entail him to encounter more challenges in doing so. Stefan will have to worry more other than Damon. This entity is after the whole family.

Meanwhile, a report from Inquisitr indicates that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 premiere episode will feature Caroline (Candice King) and Alaric (Matt Davis). It is speculated that the couple will encounter an evil visitor in the season. Caroline worries since her whole family is the target of this evil visitor.

It is also speculated that Sybil is the evil character to be part of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. This female entity has a special attention towards Stefan. She will do anything to take him as her own. This evil entity can be a hindrance between Stefan and Caroline.

Fans and followers can expect "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 to air on October 21, 2016.
