According to iTechPost "This Is Us" Season 1 Episode 2 brings out a major shocker to the characters. Rebecca (Mandy Moore) is married to Miguel (Jon Huertas) in the present day. Miguel is Jack's (Milo Ventimiglia) friend who happens to be the first husband of Rebecca as seen in the first episode.

There are many timelines to be seen in "This Is Us" Season 1 which goes back and forth from the present to the past time. It can be recalled that in the past life Miguel is giving Jack an advice about marriage as his marriage to Rebecca has been on the edge. In the present time, Rebecca's grandchildren call on them only to see Miguel as her husband. This means that Jack and Rebecca did not separate and Jack must have died since she still wears the necklace that Jack gave her.

In a report from International Business Times, "This Is Us" Season 1 gives more challenges to the story. Creator Dan Fogelman shares that there are more revelations to the show. The biggest surprises will be about the characters and how these events will connect with their lives in the coming years.
