Google's new Pixel Smartphone has been hitting the headlines in many online publications and buyers have been waiting with bated breath to get their hands on it. Surprisingly, the image of the device was leaked even before its launch in the first week of next month from none other than Evan Blass from tech giant Venture Beat. The image gives a sneak peek of the face of the Smartphone.

It's apparent that the device does not have curved edges similar to the Galaxy Note 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7. The phones will be manufactured by HTC, but the branding is yet to take the center stage.

The first will be a 5-inch Smartphone labeled the Pixel and is slated to replace the Nexus 5X launched by LG last year, while the other will be a 5.5-inch model claimed to be the Pixel XL, according to Android Police. Both the devices are said to represent a new genre in the lineup of Google's phone sector that is gearing to be more "opinionated" about the hardware and software of the handsets, says CEO Sundar Pichai. The cheaper of the two devices may have a price tag of $649 as mentioned by Android Police.

Reports pouring in indicate that the Pixel will be housing 4 GB worth of RAM, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor, default storage of 32GB, a 2770 mAh battery and a USB-C port. The device will be running on an extraordinary version of Android 7.1 Nougat. In a nutshell, it should be on a flagship level with respect to performance because of an extra sweet Android. The only downside is that it won't be waterproof, according to the latest rumors.

Final Thoughts

The Pixel looks brilliant in the leaked image even though it leaves a lot to one's imagination. In any case, the massive event to be held on Oct. 4, 2016, is just a couple of days away, and we will finally know the status of the Nexus line by then.
