Despite the news of the show's cancellation, it appears that "Supernatural" Season 12 will actually push through. In fact, Misha Collins, who plays Castiel, teased some spoilers about the show.

Many fans of the show thought that season 11 was the finale but it was revealed by The CW and The WB that there will be another season for the hit TV series.

According to rumors, there will be a different storyline for season 12 which made fans assume that there will merely be a spinoff. But that is not the case since CW president Mark Pedowitz said that as long as the ratings remain stable and the actors are still willing to do the show, then Supernatural will continue.

"Supernatural" Season 12 is expected to return on October both for American and international viewers. One of the most exciting part is the fate of Castiel, an angel fallen in the hands of Lucifer.

Since he lost most of his power in the previous season, many are wondering if what will happen to him. But it appears that even if he doesn't have his wings back, he will still be at full strength. Yet, he will be dealing with a downside despite his strength which is his mood swings.

“He’s a little bit of a jerk,” Collins said, according to Entertainment Weekly. He even called Castiel “short-tempered,” which will surely create some exciting scenes when he is paired with Crowley.

Speaking of the King of Hell Crowley, he will be teaming up with Castiel in season 12 and the two are expected to get into another adventure while they are searching for Lucifer. On the other hand, Lucifer is still hiding by using the body of Rick Springfield.

Because of the search, fans can expect a 70s or 80s sitcom. This actually makes the upcoming season even more interesting.

"Supernatural" Season 12 returns on Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
