UFC Women's Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has announced that she will be training with American Top Team in defending her title against challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz on November 12, 2016 at UFC 205 in Madison Square Garden, New York City. Jedrzejczyk and Kowalkiewicz, both representing Poland, are set to be one of the main card bouts.

According to Fox Sports, Jedrzejczyk's posted a photo on her Instagram account in response to American Top Team's welcome post stating that her decision is for the best for her career and future in the sport. Jedrzejczyk also mentioned that she left her old team with no resentment or hard feelings.

Now that she will be based in United States, there will be more opportunities for her development and advancement in her MMA career. Fox Sports also reported that Jedrzejczyk has arrived in Florida and started training with fighters and coaches at American Top Team where she expressed that she instantly loved the Florida based gym.

American Top Team is known to be one of the top MMA Gyms in United States. According to Sherdog's Top Ten MMA training camps, American Top Team ranked third on their list. Over the years, they produced a long list of notable and accomplished fighters.

The gym currently houses Tyron UFC's Welterweight Champion, Tyron Woodley as well as Women's Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. Given the resume the team holds, Jedrzejczyk is definitely in good hands defending her title for the fourth time.

Kowalkiewicz is currently undefeated in her professional MMA career and have earned her contender spot at UFC 201 last July 30, 2016 by defeating Rose Namajunas who was also eyeing on challenging the current champion.

According to MMAJunkie.com, after Kowalkiewicz fight against Namajunas, she repeatedly called out the champ for being "scared" to fight her. Jedrzejczyk and Kowalkiewicz's undefeated status are both at stake in the upcoming fight this November.
