Mojang has come out with an announcement for console Minecraft players: the Chinese mythology mash-up pack is out this October 4 for Xbox One and Wii U in North America, and a day later for the rest.

With the Far-East stage set, players can expect to see huge sculptures in authentic design, as well as the more famous and pretty-to-look-at cherry blossoms. But then, there's also the mythical beast that abounds there: dragons!

And while you're going with those, enjoy the 41 new skins, as wells as 13 themed tracks to further immerse yourself in the new areas. For a preview of said areas, check the link to Mojang above.

All these and more can be found in the pre-made world that the expansion pack offers, according to Gamespot. The pack itself costs $4.99 across all the platforms.

Hand-in-hand with this is a free update that also gives other new goodies to enjoy while playing the game. In addition to seven new building blocks, there's a new terrain generation feature that can give you underground fossils and igloos in arctic biomes. White and fluffy, polar bears and their cubs also make an appearance in frozen biomes. There's even a new plant you can turn into soup for some health on the go. Banners detailing your personalized style are also available, letting you mark your new territories in style.

Minecraft is an open-world sandbox that allows you to build almost anything that comes to mind, provided you have the patience needed, and the creativity to carry it out. With these new additions, we can be certain that even more impressive worlds and builds to come out right after its release. Personally, there's nothing wrong with expective a fully mobile dragon made up of many different boxes. That, or maybe an accurate rendition of some ancient Chinese temples or ruins. Regardless, this update will surely fuel the flames for the creativity of the game's fanbase.
