The CW has released a brand new poster for the upcoming sophomore season of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," featuring the show's ragtag team of heroes, joined by newcomers Vixen (played by Amaya Jiwe), and Nathan Heywood (played by Nick Zano), who is bound to take up the mantle of Citizen Steel midway the season.

According to a report by ComingSoon.Net, the upcoming season will see the Legends scattered across different points in time. After discovering their ordeal, the historian Nathan Haywood rallies to regroup the team, in a bid to face an even bigger threat, as implied by Hourman's (played by Patrick J. Adams) warning during the events of Season 1's finale.

Aside from Jiwe and Zano, Sarah Grey will be joining the main cast in the role of Stargirl, alongside Matthew MacCaull's Commander Steel, and Lance Henriksen's Obsidian - all of whom are members of the Justice Society of America.

On the other hand, Season 2 will highlight the debut of the Arrowverse's Legion of Doom, composed of Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman), the Reverse Flash (Matt Letscher), and an alternate version of Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller).

Meanwhile, Caity Lotz teased a few details regarding her character Sara's stature in Season 2.

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lotz shared that Sara's first impression of the JSA will be polarized.

"Sara's never a fan of people who are too perfect and follow all the rules. They're pretty good at that. So there's a little bit of [Sara] that's like, 'These people have got their sh- together.' But it's also probably a little annoying, because they got their sh- together and they know it."

She also mused that her fellow Legends will react in the same vein as her impression.

Series showrunner Marc Guggenheim expounds on this new status quo, "It's all going to kick off with an epic battle between the Justice Society and the Legends. It's required that every time there's more than one superhero in any place at any given time, they have to fight. We're honoring that rule and that tradition straight out of the gate."

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" returns October 13 on The CW.
