Another of HBO's shows, "Veep," also won the Outstanding Comedy Series award. It beat ABC's "Black-ish," "Master of None" (Netflix), "Modern Family" (ABC), "Silicon Valley" (HBO), "Transparent" (Amazon) and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" (Netflix).

The Outstanding Actress for a Drama Series is Tatiana Maslany of "Orphan Black." She competed with Claire Danes ("Homeland"), Viola Davis ("How to Get Away with Murder") and Taraji P. Henson ("Empire"), among others.

For the comedy series awards, Jeffrey Tambor of Amazon's "Transparent" won the Outstanding Actor award while Julia Louis-Dreyfus won the Outstanding Actress award for her performance on "Veep." The actress dedicated her victory to her father who passed away on Friday. "I'm so glad he liked 'Veep' because his opinion was the one that really mattered," she said.
