Announced during the height of the recently concluded Tokyo Game Show 2016, Marza and Capcom's upcoming survival horror CG film "Resident Evil: Vendetta" finally gets a teaser trailer.

Streamed online through the film's website fresh off the last day of TGS, the said project will be the third canonical CG animated tie-in film connected to the video games' continuity, following "Resident Evil: Degeneration" in 2008, and "Resident Evil: Damnation" in 2012 - despite Canon's initial claims of "Vendetta" being a reboot. As with previous outings, fan favorite Leon S. Kennedy is set to return as the main protagonist.

Set after the events of Resident Evil 6, "Vendetta" aims to abridge the events prior to "Resident Evil 7," and will also feature Chris Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, and a myriad of new, original characters made specifically for the film. Capcom Supervisor Hiroyuki Kobayashi is working hands-on with "Vendetta," alongside director Takanori Tsujimoto (The Next Generation - Patlabor, Ultraman X series), and writer Makoto Fukami (Psycho Pass).

Ducati collaborated with Capcom for the project, as Leon can be seen riding a Xdiavel in the trailer.

Interestingly, the said announcement also coincided with the release of "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter's" debut trailer. Touted as Milla Jokovich's last "Resident Evil" outing, the movie is set after the events of "Retribution's" ending, as the remaining survivors from the Raccoon City tragedy must band together one last time, in a bid to save humanity from the threat of Umbrella Corporation and its undead onslaught. The movie will premiere in January 2017 - in time for "Resident Evil 7's" global release.

"Resident Evil: Vendetta" is slated for a Spring 2017 premiere.
