The makers of "American Horror Story" are keeping the theme of the sixth instalment under wraps however some internet's private eyes have come up with a theme for the most awaited TV show.

FX CEO John Landgraf and showrunner Ryan Murphy have been releasing ample number of trailers of the upcoming season showing majorly red herrings but trying to keep the theme under covers keeping the audience guessing - as per IGN.

Although, the media has not hinted much on the theme, few smart internet detectives noticed that Rotten Tomatoes had listed the season as "American Horror Story: The Mist." Meanwhile a Reddit user also pointed out that it was listed as "American Horror Story: The Mist" in TV Guide.

Recently, there were many teasers released by FX to promote the upcoming season, one among them depicts a creature emerging from the distance while scuttling down some mist-covered railroad tracks.

The new installment is named "American Horror Story: The Mist" by both RottenTomatoes.com and TV Guide magazine (although RottenTomatoes has since removed the potential spoiler). However, there is nothing in official.

Murphy will bring back Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Lady Gaga and Evan Peters while other names have not been announced yet.

According to E!, "They went out and made many more trailers than you've actually seen for...different genres and different places," FX president John Landgraf said when asked about the marketing campaign for season 6. "I just love it on an artistic level. One of them is accurate, the others are all misdirects."

AHS will return with Season 6 to FX on Wednesday, Sept. 14 at 10 p.m.
