Kpop News: BLACKPINK Revealed Further Debut Details

On August 4, an informant revealed details about BLACKPINK's debut plan and release schedule with news outlet Ilgan Sports.

The source revealed, "BLACKPINK who is YG's new girl group in seven years after 2NE1 will be releasing two tracks in August."

BLACKPINK's will be releasing two tracks on August 8 that has been produced by YG's main producer Teddy.

A source from YG commented, "The decision to release two tracks was somewhat expected as they have been trainees for six years and the album took two years to finish which resulted in the aspiration to film music videos for all of their songs and release the songs at different times rather than all at once."

BLACKPINK will likely promote their debut album throughout the year. The group's other tracks will also be released at a different time.

Following the release of their debut tracks on August 8, BLACKPINK will hold their debut showcase at 3 p.m. KST which will stream live on Naver's V App.

Fans are now anticipating of YG's new girl group and are expecting for a great group with combined powerful performance.

The group's line-up of members is Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé.
BLACKPINK is consists of Jennie that was born in 1996, Lisa is Thai and 19 years old, Jisoo was born in 1995, and Rosé is from Australia and born in 1997.

A YG representative explained behind the group's name and said that while pink is described as the prettiest color, being pretty isn't everything. Thus the team is beautiful but also talented.
