‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ News Update: Cast Gets Bigger with Entry of Michael Mando and Bokeem Woodbine

Spider-Man's first solo film 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' is all set to get bigger and bolder. The joint production of Sony and Marvel Studios is going to be one super amazing treat for the fans.

According to reports, two new actors have joined the cast and they are Michael Mando and Bokeem Woodbine. They have been roped in for major roles with the latter slated to play another villain. It is being said that he might team up with Michael Keaton (speculated to play The Vulture) and Logan Marshall-Green to play some undisclosed villain.

Notably, one and a half week ago, three big names were announced for the movie. They include Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr and Donald Glover. And now that two more have been declared, it looks like things are only going to get groovier for 'Spider-Man: Homecoming, slated to release on July 7, 2017.

The filming for the movie has begun in Atlanta and Woodbine is heading to participate in the shoot. Though not much is known about his role, it is sure that he will be seen as a villain. As for Michael Mando, there is nothing that is known but it is certain that the presence of these two amazing actors will give the film more substance and spunk.

As for Spider-Man, his addition to MCU is not just one-time thing. Many are saying that his universe will expand further and Sony chief Tom Rothman has also confirmed it. When asked if a whole Spider-man universe and more deals with Marvel were in the offing, he said yes and added that the relationship with Marvel has been fantastic. He said Sony has the ultimate authority on the subject but Marvel has been given creative lead.

Well, the movie is a year away from release and with a stellar cast additions and the formidable Marvel-Sony partnership behind it, one can only expect fireworks. The fans had been waiting for the collaboration for a long time and now that it has materialized, it is hard to contain one's excitement and wait for the result.
