OnePlus 3, the third flagship smartphone from OnePlus has been introduced with reasonable price tag and specs that are on par or even better some of the recent flagships. Xiaomi Mi 5 with its affordable pricing and topnotch specs is a direct rival for OnePlus 3. Here is a comparison between the two flagships on the basis of their specifications, features and price.

The OnePlus 3 that wears a metal unibody design has a thickness of 7.4 mm and a weight of 161 grams. Its appearance can be modified by using StyleSwap protective cases of different materials like bamboo, rose wood, black apricot, karbon and sandstone. The handset comes in color choices like gray, black and gold. The Xiaomi Mi 5 has glass panels on its front and rear sides along with a metallic frame running along its edges. It has a thickness of 7.3 mm and its weight is 129 grams. It can be availed in colors like white, black and gold. The highest configuration variant of Xiaomi Mi 5 features a ceramic rear panel.

 The OnePlus 3 is a phablet device with 5.5-inch full HD display whereas the Xiaomi Mi 5 has a smaller full HD screen of 5.15 inches. Both the companies have used Gorilla Glass 4 to safeguard the screens of their flagships.The OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi Mi 5 are both fueled by Snapdragon 820 chipset. The OnePlus 3 comes in single storage version of 64 GB that features 6 GB of RAM.The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes in three storage models. Its 32 GB and 64 GB variants feature 3 GB of RAM.

The 128 GB variant that carries the Xiaomi Mi 5 Pro Edition moniker includes 4 GB of RAM. Both the smartphones do not carry support for external storage. here is an 8-megapixel on the front panel of OnePlus 3 whereas the Mi 5 is equipped with a 4-megapixel selfie camera. The OnePlus 3 has Android Marshmallow OS modified with the OxygenOS UI from OnePlus. The MIUI user interface is present over the Android M OS on Xiaomi Mi 5. Both the smartphones feature NFC, USB Type-C and fingerprint readers.
