Being the largest smartphone company in the world, Samsung is expected to capture every segment of the smartphone market. However, it has been noticed that the South Korean giant is losing hold of the budget smartphone segment that is being captured by companies like Xiaomi, Lenovo, and LeEco.

Of course, Samsung has affordable smartphone too, and its J series is especially popular for low-cost phones. The Samsung Galaxy J5 sells very well, and the Galaxy J5 (2016) was released this year with some significant upgrades. But is it really that good to be chosen against other popular devices in the segment?

Well, it doesn't seem so. LeEco has had great success with the LeEco Le 1s, and the company has launched its successor, the LeEco Le 2, this year. The Le 2 is not a completely different phone from the Le 1s, but it has got some important upgrades. The LeEco Le 2 comes with a 5.5 inches Full HD screen, while the J5 makes do with a 5.2 inches HD display. The Le 2 offers a 3000mAh battery, while the new Galaxy J5 sports a slightly bigger 3100mAh battery. The Galaxy J5 (2016) is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal expandable storage. The LeEco Le 2 comes with a much more powerful deca-core Helio X20 processor and also gets an octa-core Snapdragon 652 variant. The Le 2 features 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, but there's no way to expand the storage.
