Kpop News: BIGBANG Grabs A Major Award From Italian MTV Award

 According to YG Entertainment, BIGBANG won "Best Artist from the World" in the Italian MTV Awards 2016, becoming the only Korean act or singer to win a prize in the event in Florence, Italy, on Sunday.

The popular group were given recognation as the "Best Artist From the World."

The ceremony was held on June 19 in Florence. BIGBANG's fellow winners include not only Italian artists like Negramaro and The Kolors as well as global stars such as Avril Lavigne, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and One Direction.

On June 20, BIGBANG member G-Dragon shared a photo on his Instagram account showing that they earned an award. The artist also sends his gratitude of thanks to the fans for the love and support. He wrote; "Thank you for showing LOVE VIP 'Best artist from the world' at the 2016 Italian MTV Awards".

Meanwhile, it was also recently reported that BIGBANG will have an upcoming movie "BIGBANG10 THE MOVIE" casting their selves. This is a special treat for fans in celebration for 10th year Anniversary. The film will hit theaters on June 30.

The group officially debuted on August 19, 2006. Predominantly a hip hop group, their debut was a moderate success, with their first self-titled Korean album selling 48,000 copies.
