Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden Are Now Engaged!

Cameron Diaz, the "Charlie's Angels" actress and her boyfriend of seven months "Good Charlotte" guitarist Benji madden are reportedly engaged.

Sources close to the couple confirmed the news with Us Weekly adding that this wasn't a surprise since the two are so much in love with each other.

"Everyone thinks it's wild but are so happy for them. Benji always tends to fall in love easily, but this time it's for real and he landed a great girl. They obviously both make each other incredibly happy and there's nothing better than that," one source told Us Weekly.

While the insiders don't think it's a surprise, the world does. In a prior interview with InStyle magazine, Diaz confessed that she doesn't believe in monogamy.

"I don't know if anyone is really naturally monogamous. We all have the same instincts as animals. But we live in a society where it's been ingrained in us to do these things," Diaz told the magazine.

But while Diaz is more modern, Madden is traditional. Diaz apparently wants to have kids but Madden wants to get engaged and married before having babies.

So is Diaz obliging? Of course she is!

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the "Other Woman" star said that timing was everything.

"You have to find someone in the same place as you are. Timing is everything. If you get into a relationship where you want something the guy doesn't want, it's never gonna work. You're never going to get him to be in that place. No matter how old you are, finding the guy who's in the same place as you are and wants to show up is the only way a relationship works, period," she said.
