Marvel's 'Doctor Strange' is going to feature 'Casino Royale' actor Mads Mikkelsen and his role is not that of an ordinary villain. Though his character has not been revealed yet, it is special and the news has given rise to a lot of speculation as to what exactly it is.

According to reports, it is going to be one-of-a-kind role and the actor has also hinted at the same. In a recent interview, he said that the film is very different from other Marvel films. However, he added that it would not be as different as the books as they were set in the 60s and 70s, which were more like an acid trip.

Notably, the Doctor Strange comic books in the 60s used to have a very bright visual art style. Their appearance and aura, invoked an 'acid trip' like vibe. But the film begs to differ and it is evident from the teaser trailer that was released earlier this year. The makers have shown that the film will stand out visually and would be quite distinct from other Marvel movies that have been made till date.

The actor also emphasized this point and said that they have taken that fascination of the time into something that can be related with the present times. Calling it a necessity, he said that without modifying this aspect, they would have just made a crazy film. He emphasized that the film has all the ingredients of a good Marvel movie but it carries a different flavor.

As for his character he said that it is not villainous entirely but he is a man who believes in something else than the hero. As per Mikkelsen, his character is the antagonist but he is not necessarily wrong.

It may be mentioned here that 'Doctor Strange' is the story of a brilliant but egotistic surgeon who loses his hands in a car accident. He yearns to return to his beloved profession and to get them back, he takes the help of a sorcerer who further introduces him to the world of magic and sorcery.
