Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 Release Date and Price:: Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 with 4G launched at 130$

Indian firm Micromax on Wednesday unveiled their new Canvas Amaze 2 smartphone in Indian markets. Priced at Rs. 7,499 which is roughly 120$ the handset will be available online exclusively via online retailer WS Retail registered in Flipkart starting this Thursday.

The new Micromax Canvas Amaze 2 features a 5-inch HD display of 720p inside an IPS panel and comesalong with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection from scratches. It is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor while the chipset isn't clear is clubbed with 2GB of memory. The handset packs a decent 16GB of onboard storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card supposedly up to 64GB.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop-based Canvas Amaze 2 smartphone features dual-SIM support and is backed by a 2500mAh battery. The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. The handset supports 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB connectivity options. It is believed that the team behind the development of this device believes 2500mAh of battery should sufficiently power this device for at least six hours of screen on-time.

The launch further reiterates our successful partnership with Flipkart to bring the best in class smartphones with industry leading specification to price ratio for our consumers." Shubajit Sen said. He is the Chief Marketing Officer for Micromax Informatics. The domestic handset maker only last month unveiled the Canvas Selfie 4 smartphone alongside the Micromax Bolt Selfie.

The biggest highlight of the Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 is its 8-megapixel front and rear cameras. Another notable feature of the Canvas Selfie 4 was its rear 'Tap Sensor' which the company touts can click images on tapping. The sensor can also be used to take calls. The smartphone ran Android 6.0 Marshmallow. While the pricing is actually fair for a 720p screen, we have to wait and check as to how will this device perform in the smartphone markets.
